Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lab Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations to meet project schedules and quality standards
• Supervise, train, and develop laboratory staff while maintaining safety standards
• Perform and oversee testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and other construction materials
• Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibrations and preventative maintenance
• Ensure laboratory accreditation requirements (USACE, AMRL, CCRL) are met through proper documentation
• Review and approve laboratory test results and reports for accuracy and compliance
• Communicate with clients, project teams, and field personnel regarding testing needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a construction related field
• Minimum 5 years working in a construction materials or geotechnical laboratory
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Preferred Qualifications

• WAQTC/CDOT qualifications
• ACI certifications
• CAPA/LabCAT asphalt certifications
• AASHTO/AMRL and CCRL accreditation/proficiency experience
• Nuclear Gauge Safety/Operator Certification
• OSHA 30
