Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance/quality control and manage special inspections and materials testing projects
• Supervise and lead field staff performing geotechnical and construction inspection tasks
• Review and interpret project plans and specifications
• Serve as a technical advisor to clients for construction-related challenges
• Prepare and submit accurate project summary reports
• Assist in developing job work scopes, project estimates, and proposals
• Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on project sites
• Perform field and laboratory testing as necessary

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of experience in a construction-related field
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Ability to work in diverse terrain and weather conditions
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and communicate safety expectations

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a construction-related field
• Project Management experience
• ACI Grade I certification
• ATTI Field certification
• ICC certification
• OSHA 30 certification
• ACI Aggregate/Lab Strength certification
• ATTI Soils/Aggregate certification
• Nuclear Gauge certification
• Applicable Department of Transportation/Roads certifications
