Construction Material Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute material control tests on-site (soils, granular materials, cement concrete, asphalt, etc.) following standards and project specifications
• Perform sampling of granular materials, concrete, and asphalt
• Maintain and calibrate equipment
• Manage material control activities under your supervision
• Provide recommendations to ensure work quality and client satisfaction
• Write site logs and daily reports
• Assist project managers in monitoring mandates

Requirements

• DEC in civil engineering (or AEC with experience)
• Minimum 3 years experience with DEC or 5 years with AEC in qualitative control of soils and materials
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
• ASP Construction card
• Ability to work in challenging environments and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• ACI certification
• Relevant experience in Hydro-Québec projects (stations, lines, and power plants) as a laboratory representative
