Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of construction field staff
• Coordinate review and approval of submittals and RFIs
• Resolve construction project issues, conflicts, and claims
• Oversee contract change orders, including estimating and negotiation
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules
• Act as primary liaison to project designers, contractors, and authorities
• Oversee acceptance testing, environmental testing, and special inspections
• Track and report on project status and lessons learned
• Conduct planning, preconstruction, and progress meetings
• Review plans for constructability and perform value engineering
• Manage project closeout processes including punch lists and substantial completion
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to developing staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related technical area
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in Construction Management on capital programs
• Experience working on complex, multi-phase capital construction projects of $50 million or greater
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial analysis skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CCM certification
• PE license
• RA license
