About the Company
The American Housing Corporation is on a mission to solve America’s housing crisis through all-out production. We believe that America’s affordability crisis is fundamentally a production crisis, and that solving it requires a vertically integrated development approach: We buy land, and manufacture, install, and sell our homes directly to customers.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery of our new factory buildout by managing the general contractor and coordinating the in-house architecture and engineering team
- Coordinate construction and installation of base building and process systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air
- Manage permitting and inspections with authorities having jurisdiction
- Execute facility layout in partnership with manufacturing engineering to support material flow and future expansion
- Own the construction schedule, tracking the critical path and managing milestones
- Manage the project budget, including cost tracking, buyout reviews, and change orders
- Ensure site safety and code compliance regarding OSHA, NFPA, and EPA standards
- Drive commissioning, punch list closeout, and turnover of systems to operations
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in construction or project management, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Direct experience leading factory or industrial buildouts from greenfield or fit-out through commissioning
- Proven track record managing general contractors, vendors, and multi-million dollar capital budgets
- Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and life safety
- Familiarity with building codes, OSHA, NFPA, and local permitting processes
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline
- PE, PMP, CCM, or LEED certification
