Construction Manager - Systems - Rail and Transit

Responsibilities

• Manage the installation and integration of critical rail and transit systems, including track, signals, traction power, and communication networks within tunnel projects.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure systems align with technical specifications, project schedules, and budget constraints.
• Support comprehensive testing and commissioning for all installed systems to ensure they meet operational standards and safety protocols.
• Monitor and verify project adherence to NFPA-130 standards for fire protection and life safety, including emergency ventilation and fire suppression systems.
• Act as the primary liaison for safety protocols, coordinating with stakeholders to review safety plans and assess risk factors.
• Direct the overall planning of construction activities, including budget estimates, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and formal presentations for higher-level management and clients.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in rail, transit, systems, track, signals, or traction power installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Extensive experience managing rail transit systems specifically within tunnel projects.
• Proficiency in NFPA-130 standards and fire-protection/life-safety requirements for transit systems.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Capability to function at a program-level technical chief role, providing expertise on track alignment and systems integration.
