Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction activities for a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant project.
• Ensure daily presence on-site (4–5 days per week) to supervise progress and execution.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of the General Contractor (GC) to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
• Drive project execution during final construction phases, including commissioning support and close-out.
• Manage and track punch list items, ensuring all deficiencies are properly resolved.
• Identify on-site risks, delays, or issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers.
• Report progress, risks, and milestones directly to the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager in industrial or energy projects.
• Mandatory experience with Combined Heat and Power (CHP), thermal plants, or power plants.
• Strong background in on-site construction management and field-based roles.
• Experience managing General Contractors (GC) and monitoring performance.
• Hands-on experience with project close-out phases and punch list management.
• Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in energy plants.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (4–5 days per week) in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an execution-driven mindset.
