About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site construction activities for a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant project.
- Ensure daily presence on-site (4–5 days per week) to supervise progress and execution.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of the General Contractor (GC) to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
- Drive project execution during final construction phases, including commissioning support and close-out.
- Manage and track punch list items, ensuring all deficiencies are properly resolved.
- Identify on-site risks, delays, or issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers.
- Report progress, risks, and milestones directly to the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager in industrial or energy projects.
- Mandatory experience with Combined Heat and Power (CHP), thermal plants, or power plants.
- Strong background in on-site construction management and field-based roles.
- Experience managing General Contractors (GC) and monitoring performance.
- Hands-on experience with project close-out phases and punch list management.
- Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in energy plants.
- Ability to work on-site full-time (4–5 days per week) in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- Valid U.S. work authorization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an execution-driven mindset.
