Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submittal reviews and manage the submittal process to ensure compliance with project specifications and VA standards.
• Document, track, and monitor Requests for Information (RFIs) and responses.
• Review and monitor project schedules, including milestone completion, phasing, and material deliveries.
• Perform field verification of as-built drawings and conduct construction inspections to report non-conforming work.
• Provide troubleshooting support for construction issues and assist in developing courses of action.
• Monitor project financial data, budgetary cost accounting, and assist with contract change orders.
• Maintain daily logs, inspection reports, and marked-up project plans.
• Coordinate Owner-supplied equipment and review closeout submittals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Alternatively, 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in facility construction management, including schedule control and cost management.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction documents.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project construction team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on healthcare projects or medical facilities.
