About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall accountability for project delivery and ensure business benefits are achieved
  • Act as the primary link between the project, the business community, and management decision-making groups
  • Provide business expertise and guidance to the Project Manager
  • Manage project changes, assess risks, and ensure the project remains a viable business proposition
  • Establish project organization, roles, and reporting structures
  • Ensure all project activities follow established Safety Guidelines and policies
  • Resolve conflicts, resource competition, and obstacles to progress
  • Approve key project deliverables and initiate project reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university
  • 6+ years of related experience or training within the construction industry
  • Proven experience leading multi-million dollar contracts, including operations, administration, and client relations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) License
