Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction, commissioning, and turnover of data centers within a campus program
• Oversee project budgets, cost change processes, and negotiate best pricing with vendors
• Manage project schedules and mitigate risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates
• Negotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders
• Partner with General Contractors and internal cross-functional teams to build collaborative relationships
• Support pre-construction efforts, capital project budgets, and on-site inspection processes
• Promote prefabrication strategies and develop cost-saving solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years of professional experience in the construction management industry
• General knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Experience in large-scale construction management, mission-critical infrastructure, or data center construction
• Proven experience in capital budget management and contract administration
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building data centers or large-scale commercial projects
• Knowledge of LEAN Construction principles and tools
• Proficiency with P6 scheduling software
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive efficiency
