About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical QA/QC program across multiple data center projects to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Manage and develop QA/QC Supervisors, inspectors, and subcontractor quality teams.
  • Establish and enforce mechanical QA/QC procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and documentation standards.
  • Oversee inspection activities, non-conformance management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning leadership to mitigate project risks.
  • Support design reviews regarding constructability and liquid cooling system performance.
  • Lead root cause analyses and corrective action planning for quality issues across sites.
  • Review and approve final QA/QC documentation packages for project turnover.
  • Track key quality metrics and report performance trends to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC or inspection in industrial construction.
  • At least 5 years of experience specifically with liquid cooling systems in data centers or similar environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site QA/QC teams or large-scale industrial programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing QA/QC plans, processes, and inspection strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the Sweetwater, Texas site daily.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as ASQ CQI, AWS CWI, or NDT Level I/II.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Expertise with quality management systems, audit processes, and root cause analysis.
