About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical QA/QC program across multiple data center projects to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Manage and develop QA/QC Supervisors, inspectors, and subcontractor quality teams.
- Establish and enforce mechanical QA/QC procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and documentation standards.
- Oversee inspection activities, non-conformance management, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning leadership to mitigate project risks.
- Support design reviews regarding constructability and liquid cooling system performance.
- Lead root cause analyses and corrective action planning for quality issues across sites.
- Review and approve final QA/QC documentation packages for project turnover.
- Track key quality metrics and report performance trends to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC or inspection in industrial construction.
- At least 5 years of experience specifically with liquid cooling systems in data centers or similar environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-site QA/QC teams or large-scale industrial programs.
- Demonstrated experience developing QA/QC plans, processes, and inspection strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the Sweetwater, Texas site daily.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as ASQ CQI, AWS CWI, or NDT Level I/II.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Expertise with quality management systems, audit processes, and root cause analysis.
