About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the scope, cost, schedule, and operational interfaces of design and construction activities for major airport programs.
- Monitor all on-site field construction activities to ensure completion and adherence to approved work plans.
- Work with Design/Builders and stakeholders to develop construction planning and identify critical milestones.
- Monitor budget estimates, staffing requirements, manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure construction operations follow approved Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs) and all proper notifications.
- Review Contractor Potential Change Order Claims for merit and negotiate to final resolution.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for higher-level management and clients.
- Participate in coordination meetings with Design/Builders, trade partners, and LAWA Operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of Construction Management experience, preferably on airport projects.
- Experience managing projects with a value exceeding $100 million.
- Knowledge of various delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design/Build.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certifications such as AAAE, LEED, or PE.
- Ability to work in CAD or REVIT.
