Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Schedule project resources and budget time to meet deadlines
• Supervise crews and direct activities for the construction or maintenance of tower structures and communication systems
• Partner with Project Managers to interpret plans, execute scope of work, and prepare budget estimates or progress reports
• Inspect projects to ensure compliance with building, safety, and environmental codes
• Perform installation of antennas, mounts, cable ladders, and microwave radio systems
• Lead safety/tailgate meetings and implement Quality Assurance processes
• Mentor and train tower technicians to enhance team performance
• Manage site logistics, including responding to delays, inclement weather, or emergencies

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain DOT physical certification
• OSHA 30 certification
• Competent Climber and Competent Rescue certifications
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of tower and fall protection safety, including 100% tie-off techniques
• Experience with Sweep & PIM testing and Fiber scope/OTDR testing
• Ability to perform basic rigging using ropes, blocks, and tackles
• Experience with the construction and maintenance of Self-Support, Guyed towers, and monopoles
• Ability to pass a background check for government security clearances
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 3-6 weeks at a time) and work non-structured schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL Class A certification
• Experience with Gin poles
• Proficiency with Anritsu gear
• Experience using transits and compasses to set azimuths
