Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction and commissioning for cement plant projects valued from $500k to several million dollars
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor execution, and summarize project progress
• Monitor contractor and vendor progress and evaluate/approve invoices for payment
• Interface with engineering and construction companies to address design issues and RFIs
• Coordinate contractor activities with plant operations to ensure seamless integration
• Prepare periodic reports for management regarding construction status, costs, and schedules
• Supervise engineering and construction contractors during the commissioning phase to stabilize operations
• Maintain a safe workplace with a focus on zero occupational injuries, accidents, and environmental incidents

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in construction management
• MSHA Certification (or ability to obtain within a reasonable period)
• Strong supervisory and leadership experience
• Proven experience in budgetary oversight and managing construction costs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and AutoCAD
• Strong safety focus and commitment to operational excellence
