About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction-phase activities and serve as the primary liaison with the Government's Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Monitor construction schedules, milestones, phasing strategies, and material deliveries.
- Coordinate the submittal review process and monitor contractor compliance with specifications and safety plans.
- Perform routine field inspections, compile defect lists, and report deficiencies to the COR.
- Support project financial management, including budgets, obligations, payments, and cost projections.
- Provide claims and dispute resolution support, including time impact analyses and risk assessments.
- Assist with pre-design efforts such as site investigations, cost estimates, and constructability reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 8+ years of related construction management experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling and cost control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on federal construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor schedules.
- Ability to perform detailed field inspections and produce technical reports.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training.
