About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead on-site representative and primary liaison with the Government's Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Oversee construction-phase activities, including submittal reviews, contractor compliance, and safety plan monitoring.
- Monitor construction schedules, milestones, material deliveries, and testing/inspection dates.
- Perform routine field inspections, compile defect lists, and report deficiencies to the COR.
- Support project financial management by monitoring budgets, obligations, payments, and cost projections.
- Provide claims and dispute resolution support, including time impact analyses and risk assessments.
- Assist in pre-design and design phases through site investigations, cost estimates, and constructability reviews.
- Maintain project documentation, including as-built drawings, RFIs, change orders, and project management plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 8+ years of related construction management experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and project documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on federal construction projects.
- Proven ability to perform detailed field inspections and produce technical reports.
- Experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor schedules.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training.
