About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects for major water and wastewater pump stations and transmission systems
- Act as a primary liaison between the AECOM design team, the Contractor, and the Owner
- Review requests for information (RFIs), change order proposals, pay requisitions, and project schedules
- Manage multiple projects with an onsite presence for construction meetings and critical milestone events
- Prepare and manage correspondence regarding disputed work, delays, and non-conforming work
- Monitor safety activities within the project scope to ensure compliance
- Lead negotiations for Change Orders and verify that field testing and training meet contract documents
- Assist Resident Engineers and inspection staff in resolving technical field problems
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education
- Minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience
- Proven construction management experience on water and/or wastewater capital improvement projects
- OSHA-10 Hour Safety Certification
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License (subject to MVR review)
Preferred Qualifications
- AS/BS in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of construction experience in the Water/Wastewater industry, preferably in the Northeast
- OSHA-30 Hour Construction Supervisor Certification
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage disputes and align stakeholder interests
