Construction Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and field surveying support
• Prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
• Maintain project records including daily reports, RFIs, photographs, and as-built data
• Support office engineering tasks such as technical drafting and data preparation for submittals
• Assist in estimating by reviewing historical data and performing quantity takeoffs for bids
• Supervise field operations and subcontractor activities to ensure safety and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education
• At least 2 years of experience in the construction field, preferably in vertical construction
• Working knowledge of CPM scheduling, unit man-hour performance, and material control
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
