Construction Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations
• Prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Support field surveying, work layout, and the compilation of as-built data
• Supervise field operations and subcontractor activities
• Maintain project records including daily reports, RFIs, and correspondence
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and material delivery coordination
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• 2+ years of construction field experience
• Proven experience in project or field engineering
• Ability to read and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in various outdoor climates and access all points of a construction site
• Strong commitment to safety, ethics, and professional integrity
