Construction Estimator

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and specifications to gather project details
• Perform site visits and meet with owners and designers as required
• Prepare take-offs, budgetary estimates, and cost analyses for project portions
• Establish means and methods of construction and perform supporting engineering analyses
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and vendors
• Prepare construction schedules and perform cash-flow analyses
• Close out bids and assist in the preparation of supporting documentation
• Visit projects periodically to prepare cost analyses

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Marine Construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology/Management
• Proficient in standard computer software packages
• Fluent in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of specific estimating experience
• Previous supervisory experience
