Construction Estimator

Responsibilities

• Analyze job requirements and project proposals to estimate material types, costs, and labor
• Research and evaluate suppliers to ensure material availability, quality, and competitive pricing
• Prepare detailed cost analyses for bids, RFPs, and cost proposals
• Read construction plans and perform accurate takeoffs for estimating purposes
• Create and submit formal estimates and bids to appropriate stakeholders
• Obtain necessary job permits through various city agencies
• Meet project deadlines, quotas, and RFP criteria set by management
• Maintain high safety standards on job sites and follow all safety codes of conduct
• Record time and expenses using company technology

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Construction Maintenance Management
• Proficiency in cost analysis, mathematics, and calculating labor costs
• Ability to read construction plans and perform takeoffs
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, applications, and tools
• Proficiency with computer, smartphone, and tablet technology
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling
