Construction Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical failures including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Read and interpret technical drawings and repair manuals
• Identify spare parts using catalogs and prepare orders
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Perform basic welding tasks
• Maintain an orderly and secure work environment

Requirements

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of experience as a construction mechanic
• Valid class 5 driver's license
• Possession of a complete toolbox (imperial and metric)
• Ability to work alternately day and evening

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills in electricity, hydraulics, diesel engines, transmissions, and welding
• In-depth knowledge of new mechanics technologies
