Construction Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations and create drawings for temporary works, including formwork, falsework, girder erection, and SOE
• Conduct constructability reviews and develop construction means and methods
• Resolve technical engineering problems and coordinate the field application of solutions
• Review and interpret discipline design drawings and specifications to identify potential constructability issues
• Maintain high-level quality assurance to ensure work products meet plans, specifications, and industry standards
• Assist construction personnel with general technical details
• Collaborate with the construction management team to reduce and eliminate environmental and safety hazards

Requirements

• 4-year degree in engineering or a construction-related field
• 5+ years of related field experience on large, complex, heavy civil transportation projects (Road & Highways, Bridge & Tunnel, or Rail & Transit)
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure
• Strong knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes and practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD and other software packages associated with engineering and construction
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate to construction site locations as needed
• Strong team collaboration and leadership skills
