Construction Director

Responsibilities

• Serve as the overall PMC site leader and primary point of contact for all construction matters
• Direct the PMC construction management organization and establish clear responsibilities
• Monitor EPC contractor performance against approved plans and contractual commitments
• Lead and oversee the safe integration of the new production train within an operating smelter environment
• Manage all construction-operational interfaces and SIMOPS plans
• Review and validate contractor execution plans and construction sequencing
• Provide visible and active site safety leadership and promote a zero-harm culture
• Ensure EPC contractors implement approved quality management systems
• Lead the PMC oversight of mechanical completion activities and systems turnover
• Manage site risks, including brownfield integration and production disruption risks

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• 20+ years of industrial construction experience
• 10+ years in senior site-based project leadership roles
• Extensive experience in major metallurgical, mining, smelting, or energy projects
• Essential experience in brownfield plant expansions
• Experience with RKEF facilities or nickel smelter projects is highly desirable
• Proven expertise in SIMOPS management and shutdown planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation
• Previous PMC, Owner's Engineer, or Engineer Representative experience
• Experience working in Indonesia or Southeast Asia
