Construction Director

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver Property Development construction projects, including infrastructure, utilities, roads, and buildings for a destination resort.
• Oversee the qualification, procurement, and performance of all contractors, vendors, and technical designers.
• Provide hands-on on-site coordination of contractors and develop suitable construction methodologies.
• Ensure project compliance with UK construction regulations, CDM regulations, and EHS standards.
• Coordinate design implementation to ensure alignment with the project vision and operational readiness.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and sequencing to meet critical milestones and opening commitments.
• Identify and mitigate construction, operational, and schedule risks to minimize project disruptions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction or project management.
• Significant knowledge of infrastructure, engineering, and construction management procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.
• Ability to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience with turnkey projects within large-scale infrastructure industries.
• Familiarity with UK construction contracting methodologies, specifically NEC contracts and collaborative delivery models.
• Experience managing fast-track construction programs with aggressive schedules and multiple workstreams.
• Experience coordinating with public agencies, utility providers, and local authorities on large-scale developments.
