Construction Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects for Telecom, Electric, Water, and Wastewater infrastructure
• Supervise and inspect contractor and field crew work to ensure quality and safety standards
• Conduct site surveys, coordinate material availability, and resolve mapping discrepancies
• Monitor project timelines, adjust schedules, and resolve delays
• Respond to customer and coworker inquiries regarding service availability and installation methods
• Review and process work orders with accounting for proper documentation and cost tracking
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA, RUS, and industry standards

Requirements

• Knowledge of utility construction practices for Telecom, Electric, Water, and Wastewater systems
• Understanding of OSHA and industry safety regulations
• Experience with utility coordination, right-of-way permitting, and GIS mapping
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
• Certificate in Business Operations, Applications, and Technology or an Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI Registered Communications Project Manager (RTPM) certification
• 3–5 years of utility construction or Outside Plant experience
