About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate scope development and execution of non-turnaround construction events to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets are met.
- Participate in project reviews and provide constructability input to engineering designs.
- Assist Engineering in the development of the Construction Work Package (CWP) Matrix and validate construction dates against material delivery.
- Coordinate P6 execution planning with contractor planners and conduct field walks to ensure complex scope is understood.
- Review P6 plans for manhour accuracy, planning logic, and contractor resources.
- Collaborate with Operations to develop equipment outage timelines for non-turnaround construction scope.
- Work with contractors and Engineering to resolve Requests for Information (RFI) during planning and execution.
- Review weekly Project Controls and Scheduler progress reports to identify concerns and generate corrective actions.
- Meet weekly with contractors to review safety issues, key performance metrics, and manpower levels.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to periodically support turnaround (TAR) and maintenance needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with P6 scheduling software.
- Experience with refinery construction projects and executing projects within budget.
- Refining leadership or coordinator experience.
- Experience leading meetings and a general understanding of the project work process.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
