Construction Civil Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and oversight on the structural integrity, stability, and performance of industrial construction projects.
• Review and validate structural designs from consultants to ensure feasibility, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with construction companies to oversee the implementation of approved structural plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor contractor compliance with approved designs and safety standards.
• Perform load-bearing and stability assessments throughout different project phases.
• Identify potential structural risks and recommend corrective measures in collaboration with project teams.
• Supervise structural demolition and reconstruction work to ensure adherence to engineering principles.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including structural records, reports, and design modifications.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental legislation and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering.
• 5+ years of experience specifically in industrial or heavy construction projects (e.g., cement, steel, or oil & gas).
• Proficiency in structural engineering software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Strong knowledge of international structural codes including ACI, Eurocode, and BS.
• Proven track record of supervising the construction of large-scale industrial structures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer) or PMP (Project Management Professional).
• Expertise in material selection and fatigue analysis for heavy industrial applications.
