Construction Cement Mason Foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and subcontractors
• Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Coordinate all concrete pours with the project superintendent
• Finish concrete on all concrete structures including bridge piers, abutments, flatwork, and bridge decks
• Enforce safety regulations and act as the OSHA defined "competent person" on job
• Conduct safety meetings and provide guidance to union craft employees
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours
• Inspect work performed by subcontractors to ensure conformance with specifications

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the local union
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry
• Experience in a supervisory role preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for rates, ratios, and percentages
• Physical ability to move heavy materials up to 50 lbs and traverse irregular terrain
