Construction Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to satisfy deficient balances
• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts with high precision
• Review, monitor, and engage with a high volume of customers daily
• Review delinquent accounts to maintain losses below established guidelines
• Document all account activities, project performance, and expected payment timelines
• Assess and recommend actions to clients regarding invoice repayment issues
• Make recommendations to management for clients needing additional attention

Requirements

• 2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience
• Aptitude in de-escalating difficult situations and problem solving
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure
• Strong negotiation skills for repayment plans
• Intermediate Excel skills and general computer literacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree desired

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code guidelines
• Experience in the construction or real estate industries
• Firm understanding of finance and construction industry best practices
