Consolidation Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated accounts, including revaluations, adjustments, and eliminations, in compliance with Belgian GAAP and IFRS
• Perform analysis of group entity results to ensure the reliability of data entered into consolidation tools
• Manage the monthly intercompany reconciliation process, identifying differences and performing necessary investigations
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and group entities regarding accounting and consolidation issues, such as intercompany movements
• Support internal and external auditors and maintain historical consolidation documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for consolidation and intercompany processes, including SOP updates
• Ensure reconciliation of accounts and maintain internal controls documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting function, ideally with group consolidation experience
• Proficient in MS Excel and the MS Office suite
• Fluency in English
• Strong analytical skills and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Good knowledge of IFRS/IAS
• Knowledge of financial instruments and their related accounting lifecycles
• Experience working with Oracle ERP systems
• Experience using Tagetik
