Connectivity Systems Engineer, Staff

Responsibilities

• Perform numerical and analytical modelling and simulation of next-generation electrical and optical links to deliver speeds beyond current 200Gbps/lane standards
• Use, enhance, and develop simulation platforms for architectural exploration of new approaches
• Derive specifications for components, circuits, and signal processing features in future products
• Provide technical input to senior leadership, product marketing, and engineering teams regarding expected performance and required features
• Collaborate with engineering teams to transition theoretical designs into functional prototypes
• Prepare and present technical analysis to internal teams and external partners, customers, and standards bodies

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years with a Master's degree)
• Strong mathematical understanding of analytical and numerical modelling for system-level electrical and optical communication systems and components at 100+Gbps
• Experience with system-level simulations and interpreting measurements of electronic interconnects, amplifiers, and components (e.g., S parameters, jitter, and SNDR)
• Proficiency in programming with Matlab and/or Python, including the use of AI automation to accelerate development
