Connectivity Software Engineer – VP

Responsibilities

• Develop low-latency, high-throughput Exchange Connectivity applications on a distributed Java platform.
• Support the cross-asset engineering team in delivering technical and business-driven solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert to guide technical direction and lead collaborative, multi-year assignments.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers within a collaborative development environment.
• Advise key stakeholders and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Collaborate with global teams, including London and Prague, to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

• Extensive experience developing low-latency trading applications using Core Java and/or C++.
• Proficiency working within Linux environments.
• Deep understanding of multithreading, memory management, caching, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and performance-oriented system design.
• Experience with financial systems supporting trading, risk, or middle office services.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial messaging protocols such as FIX, OUCH, or Millennium.
• Experience with network engineering or platform engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and container technologies.
• Exposure to ML or AI tools within engineering environments.
