Conflicts Attorney

Responsibilities

• Analyze conflicts of interest regarding new business and firm lateral hires
• Act as a legal advisor to firm lawyers on conflicts-of-interest issues
• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda for the General Counsel and firm committees
• Draft complex waivers, consents, engagement letters, and joint representation letters
• Negotiate between lawyers to resolve disputes over conflicts and waivers
• Assist management in handling sensitive and confidential issues related to firm ethics

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD)
• Minimum of 3 years of legal practice experience
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of the office location and state of residence
• Strong knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct and their application
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience clearing firm lateral hires and working with onboarding efforts
• Experience clearing conflicts in international jurisdictions
• Understanding of litigation practice and law firm processes
• Familiarity with Intapp products (Conflicts, Intake, Walls, Terms) and Elite 3E
