About the role
Responsibilities
- Process conflicts searches using internal proprietary databases and third-party research tools
- Research company information from external sources to establish corporate structures and management profiles
- Analyze conflicts results to identify critical issues and communicate findings directly to firm partners
- Review intake requests for clarity and ensure data entry adheres to firm policies and procedures
- Verify that all conflicts reports are complete, consistent, and accurate
- Identify and escalate unresolved issues to the Intake/Conflicts Manager or Office of General Counsel
- Assist in the training and development of other Conflicts Analysts and Clerks
- Contribute to process, procedure, and technology improvements to enhance efficiency
Requirements
- University degree
- Understanding of legal conflicts and related ethical rules
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in customer service and working with legal staff
- Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
- Discretion when handling highly confidential information
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience as a Conflict Analyst in a large law firm
- Experience in roles such as paralegal or legal assistant
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based systems
- Familiarity with CMS/Aderant, Dun & Bradstreet, and Hoovers
