Conflict Analyst

Responsibilities

• Review intake requests to ensure clarity regarding new or existing client matters
• Conduct research on new intake requests using firm conflicts databases and external resources
• Perform data entry and analysis of conflicts data into firm systems
• Research external sources to establish corporate structures and management profiles
• Verify conflicts reports for completeness, consistency, and accuracy
• Follow up on conflict issues with Partners, Managers, and the Office of General Counsel
• Evaluate conflicts reports and clear potential conflicts according to firm policies
• Identify and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate leadership
• Assist in the training and development of other Conflicts Analysts and Clerks
• Contribute to process, procedure, and technology improvements

Requirements

• Understanding of legal conflicts and related ethical rules
• Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills
• Strong decision-making and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
• Ability to work overtime as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• University degree
• 3-4 years of experience as a Conflict Analyst in a large firm
• Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with CMS/Aderant, Dun & Bradstreet, and Hoovers
