Conference Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Conference Director in delivering all aspects of the conference, including agenda development and speaker management.
• Manage relationships with industry leaders, partner organizations, vendors, and media.
• Conduct programme research and development to identify new content opportunities and market intelligence.
• Recruit C-suite, regulator, and government speakers to the programme faculty.
• Organize and run committee meetings to determine conference themes, topics, and session chairs.
• Manage the call for papers process and session selection for technical conferences.
• Build commercially viable agendas that support both sponsorship and delegate sales.
• Provide strategic market information to marketing and sales functions regarding target markets and competitors.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience producing senior-level conferences.
• Proven experience working within the energy, finance, or policy sectors.
• Demonstrable track record of securing C-suite, ministerial, and regulator-level speakers.
• Experience delivering multi-stage or multi-format programmes, including closed-door senior rooms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, specifically with government bodies and industry associations.
• Strong editorial judgment to maintain programme integrity under commercial pressure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
