Conference Assistant

About the Company

In the United Nations Impact Program, Crimson students build social impact projects aligned to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and attend one of the UN’s major global conferences. Students learn to translate global policy into local action, and get the opportunity to connect with leaders and peers in their areas of interest.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to students during scheduled times to ensure safety and punctuality
• Monitor student health and well-being, reporting concerns to the Program Director
• Act as the first point of contact during emergencies and support medical visits if required
• Supervise commutes to and from events to ensure the group stays together
• Manage attendance and investigate unauthorized absences
• Manage student cohort communications via WhatsApp to disseminate schedule changes

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or Master’s program (F-1 and J-1 holders not eligible)
• Prior experience as a Research Assistant (RA) or Teaching Assistant (TA)
• Demonstrated experience working with high school or undergraduate students
• Ability to pass a mandatory background check for working with minors
• Willingness to complete mandatory training in CPR, Youth Mental Health, and Safeguarding
• Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations or emergencies
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the United Nations
• Previous experience attending a UN conference
