Concrete Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory direction to craft workers, managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence for all concrete-related work.
• Champion Kiewit's "Nobody Gets Hurt" safety culture through daily safety briefings, task hazard analysis, and crew huddles.
• Act as a liaison between field engineering and craft to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and material delivery.
• Develop detailed pour plans, sequencing, and look-ahead schedules to align with project milestones.
• Maintain daily reports including manpower, equipment usage, quantities, and progress.

Requirements

• 5+ years of concrete supervision experience on heavy civil, industrial, or power projects.
• Proven experience in a heavy civil construction setting.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems (e.g., Peri, Doka, EFCO), rebar installation, and concrete placement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and lift plans.
• ACI certifications and OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent).
• Ability to travel and relocate as business needs require.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to meet deadlines.
