Concessions Student Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of grab-and-go items, sandwiches, salads, and other simple fare following established recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking stations, equipment, and work areas
• Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation practices
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with diners in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
• Collaborate with fellow student cooks and dining staff to ensure smooth operation
• Comply with all Middlebury College policies, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at Middlebury College
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service setting or basic culinary training
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Passion for cooking and an interest in exploring diverse culinary styles
