Concept Architect, Platform

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize and develop the range extended electric vehicle platform, including chassis, drive train, battery pack, and range extender
• Partner with concept and systems architect teams to develop solutions through 3D CAD packaging proposals
• Review technical systems and propose engineering improvements or customer experience enhancements
• Develop concept architecture and vehicle integration for scalable platforms
• Create detailed design documentation, including 2D and 3D drawings, specifications, and design guidelines
• Create prototype architectures for physical and computer verification and stress testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Design, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in concept engineering within the automotive industry
• Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA V5, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or NX
• Experience with PLM tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and JIRA
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards (IIHS/NHTSA, SAE, and C/FMVSS)
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
