About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic CT procedures while applying radiation protection principles to minimize patient exposure
  • Identify and administer correct contrast media following departmental protocols and aseptic techniques
  • Respond to changing patient physical conditions, including airway/breathing or heart rate changes
  • Maintain current ARRT registration and comply with State of Michigan and American College of Radiology requirements
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical information, provide instructions, and relieve anxiety
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of protocol changes, patient responses, and communications to radiologists
  • Safely transfer patients to and from transport devices and the CT table

Requirements

  • Graduation from a school of radiologic technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification and Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) upon hire
  • Reasonable experience in diagnostic radiography or computerized tomography
  • Current CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT (CT) Post Primary certification
  • Experience with PACS and Epic systems
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong fine motor skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to function effectively in dynamic, high-stress environments
