Computer Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and document software for the control of flight simulation systems and computer systems
• Utilize C/C++ and shell scripting in Linux or Windows environments to develop and modify software applications
• Physically and logically debug training systems and configure computer equipment to meet system requirements
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver new or modified functionalities
• Assist the Systems Engineering team with the integration of software and hardware
• Provide technical training, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members
• Maintain and update simulator designs and technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (with a software focus), or a related field
• Proficiency in C, C++, or C#
• Experience developing code on both Linux and Windows systems
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Competency with version control systems such as Git or SVN
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical math skills
• Experience with configuration management systems and hardware interfaces
• Understanding of large-scale software development processes
