Computer Systems Analyst III

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior or lead analyst to resolve business or scientific problems through electronic data processing and complex systems analysis.
• Maintain and modify complex systems or develop new subsystems for production scheduling, cost analysis, or inventory control.
• Guide users in formulating requirements and advise on the implications of new or revised data processing systems.
• Manage network infrastructure, including configuring enterprise switches and performing physical "rack-and-stack" installations.
• Implement and manage network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Integrate diverse communication systems, including microwave, RF radio, and precision timing systems (NTP/PTP), into the primary network architecture.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software irregularities and perform physical layer testing using tools like OTDR and Wireshark.
• Provide technical support and work direction to junior analysts and system users.

Requirements

• 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
• CompTIA Sec+ certification.
• Proficiency in systems analysis techniques, concepts, and methods.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and design solutions for operational hardware and software.
• US Citizenship (must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance).
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree or vocational/technical training beyond high school.
• Windows Operating System (OS) certification.
