Computer Systems Analyst I

Responsibilities

• Analyze, monitor, and support computer systems, network infrastructure, and IT environments for mission and training operations.
• Assist with the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems and associated server environments.
• Support physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure by monitoring system performance, availability, and operational health.
• Analyze system performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support virtualization platforms, including VMware, KVM, and Xen, through system administration and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with infrastructure monitoring, system upgrades, patch management, and configuration management efforts.
• Evaluate system security posture and support vulnerability mitigation activities in accordance with cybersecurity policies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to support infrastructure operations and technology integration.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT I requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT, networking, and computer systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Windows enterprise and Linux server/operating systems engineering and administration.
• Experience with cloud, physical, and virtual network architecture and infrastructure monitoring.
• Expertise with hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, or Xen.
