About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform software and algorithm research and development to enhance the autonomy of orbital, aerial, and terrestrial sensors.
- Develop algorithms for the autonomous processing of multiple live sensor streams in real time for data center and edge environments.
- Research, develop, and deploy automated photogrammetric software solutions within autonomous sensing systems.
- Conduct analysis of sensor data collections using advanced statistical methods and mathematical techniques.
- Implement and deploy high-potential approaches in software, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and maintenance using GitLab CI/CD and other DevOps tools.
- Provide technical input for geospatial intelligence working groups and produce feasibility estimates for project proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
- Experience in algorithm development and analysis with large volumes of sensor data.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q and/or SCI level security clearance.
- Ability to work onsite due to the sensitive and classified nature of the work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or a highly related field.
- Experience with GPU acceleration of algorithms and image processing.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including Agile, DevSecOps, and containerization.
- Experience with Unix systems, relational databases, and automated software testing.
- Proven ability to lead project teams and engage with technical sponsors.
