About the role
Responsibilities
- Update existing program and course curriculum
- Maintain expertise in current teaching methodologies and technologies
- Assist with student learning outcome (SLO) creation and assessment
- Support local business partnerships to serve student interests
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance instruction and student success
- Participate in the selection of course materials and online instruction technology
- Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours
- Serve on department, division, and college committees
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field
- At least one year of college-level teaching experience in computer science
- Ability to teach programming, data structures, algorithms, or systems
- Familiarity with technical cybersecurity principles on computers and networks
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cybersecurity or data science
- Familiarity with instructional technology and online/hybrid course delivery
- Experience mentoring students in research, internships, or capstone projects
- Knowledge of current trends in computer science education
