Computer Repair Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, and end-user devices.
• Perform hardware repairs and replacements, including screens, batteries, memory, storage drives, and keyboards.
• Execute system upgrades, software installations, firmware updates, and device optimization.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, testing equipment, schematics, and technical documentation to resolve issues.
• Conduct functional testing, calibration, and quality inspections to ensure performance standards.
• Document repair activities, testing procedures, and results accurately within designated systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve complex repair issues in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in electronics repair, technical support, or device refurbishment.
• Proven experience performing hardware repairs and component replacements.
• Working knowledge of PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+).
• Experience working in a production, repair depot, or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and inventory management systems.
