Computer Operator I

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing or proposed systems and design data processing programs and procedures
• Comply with computer operation policies, standards, and technical guidelines
• Interpret program requirements and audit peripheral units to ensure data correctness
• Coordinate inputs and data to meet contractual requirements
• Investigate and locate sources of non-standard irregularities and recover program operations in complex error situations
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational hardware and software
• Maintain a filing system of databases for tracking and inventory
• Develop, process, and submit data reports for technical presentations and meetings
• Provide general maintenance and installation support for computer equipment

Requirements

• Demonstrated working knowledge of Windows and integrated software application programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Vocational/technical training or military equivalent training beyond high school
• Minimum of five years of job-related experience
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines
• US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance
