Computer Lab Aide

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the efficient operation of the computer lab and provide supplemental instruction for students.
• Support distance learning and virtual instruction during school closures or emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized computer lab environment.
• Maintain effective filing systems for program inventory, records, and reports.
• Assist in enrolling pupils and maintaining assessment procedures and records.
• Provide program summaries and reports to teachers and administration as needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with principals, teachers, and school personnel.
• Ensure a safe-running program by becoming familiar with all equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 48 college credit hours.
• Alternatively, must be a current active UISD Substitute Teacher who has completed the Paraprofessional Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (PAKS) with at least one year of service.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate.
• Proficiency in typing, word processing, and file maintenance.
• Knowledge of Macintosh and DOS environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
