Responsibilities
- Facilitate the efficient operation of the computer lab and provide supplemental instruction for students.
- Support distance learning and virtual instruction during school closures or emergencies.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized computer lab environment.
- Maintain effective filing systems for program inventory, records, and reports.
- Assist in enrolling pupils and maintaining assessment procedures and records.
- Provide program summaries and reports to teachers and administration as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with principals, teachers, and school personnel.
- Ensure a safe-running program by becoming familiar with all equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 48 college credit hours.
- Alternatively, must be a current active UISD Substitute Teacher who has completed the Paraprofessional Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (PAKS) with at least one year of service.
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate.
- Proficiency in typing, word processing, and file maintenance.
- Knowledge of Macintosh and DOS environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
